How to manifest your career as a creator
If you want to change your life, you have to think and act bigger than your circumstances. I use this phrase every time I want to move house or grow my business. (stay with me)
From a small mindset to taking bigger risks
Picture this: It's October 2020. I'm living alone in a light-filled 1-bed near Seven Sisters (north London). The flat sat on top of a pink corner shop that moonlighted as a YouTube recording studio at night. They went viral a few times. It was actually a vibe.
But like many London flats, the bathroom was small, cramped and mouldy. I wanted a new one. I imagined the renovations I would make to this bathroom if I owned it.
So every morning, I got in the shower and forced myself to imagine this beautiful bathroom suite: a walk-in shower, shiny new tiles. I imagined being the person who lived in a house like that, the things she would do, and the things she wouldn't.
This tiny ritual worked. I was manifesting, but I was convincing my brain to take bigger risks because I knew that if I wanted a bigger life and a bigger business, I had to think and act bigger than my current circumstances.
Building Trust into your creator business
Last week I wrapped up my first retreat, Pitch Yourself Out There (A 3-day retreat for founders and creators who want to make better content, land bigger brand deals and live a bigger life) I've been reflecting on the risks, rituals and challenges I’ve had to overcome to reach the place where 10 people trusted me to spend 3-days together.

Some trusted me so much they booked flights and hotels so they could join the party. That isn't something that's built overnight.
And there is no way they would have had all that trust if I didn't first believe in myself (a belief built by working through failures and proving over and over again that I could survive them)
Stop waiting for your audience to trust you
Take a second and notice if you're waiting for life to change before you do
Question if you're waiting for the world to get easier before you try a lil harder
Dig into the places in your business where you're waiting for your audience to trust you before you commit to going all in and trusting yourself
It's terrifying to be the first person standing on the dance floor. But stay there long enough, and I promise you won't be dancing alone for long.
